💜 “You act despite your fear.” -

💜 Rep. Pramila Jayapal says being fearless doesn’t mean the fear goes away. It means having the courage to step up, take real risks, and act anyway because you know it will make a difference. We thank you for your leadership and your OG support of Chaya back in the day all the way to now!

💜 Come celebrate with us at the Fearless Dance Party on Friday, June 5! Dance Party only tickets are available so grab yours now and join the community. Link in bio.

💜 “I believe survivors and you should too!”

When thinks about being fearless, he thinks about his mama! She didn’t know what tomorrow would bring but she woke up every day and decided to show up anyway. That’s fearless!

💜 So grateful to have had Michael in our corner at the Seattle Mariners AANHPI Night was their 50/50 Raffle Beneficiary this past Tuesday. The community showed up and it meant everything!

🌺✨We said what we said. NO GALA. Just us, a rooftop, a DJ, and the whole community showing OUT.

💃 This year, we made a bold choice to trade the traditional gala for something that feels more like us: a dance party rooted in joy, community power, and collective action!

🕺 This June 5th, API Chaya is throwing the Fearless Dance Party and YOU ARE INVITED. Come dressed in your best cultural wear, bring the whole family, and get ready to dance it out for survivors!

🪩 Because that’s what we do. In moments of fear, we choose to be fearless. And right now? We’re choosing the dance floor.

Info:
🗓 Friday, June 5th | 7-10pm
📍 (419 Occidental Avenue South, 7th Floor, Pioneer Square, Seattle)

🤲 We are heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved Neelam Khaki, Community Organizer and Coordinator of our Peaceful Families Taskforce and a woman of extraordinary grace, purpose, and love.

🕊️ For over a decade, Neelam worked tirelessly to create safety, healing, and possibility for survivors across our community. She was someone who left this world better than she found it. Her belief that “a peaceful family is an Islamic tradition” will continue to guide everything we do. We will carry her legacy forward.

🤍 If you have a story, photo, interview, or more of Neelam please consider contributing to her memorial board, link in bio.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. It is to Allah we belong and it is to Him we return.

We don’t talk enough about the difference!

They’re not the same, but we treat them like they are. And that confusion keeps us stuck so we don’t take the risks that ACTUALLY move them forward.

This take goes out to all the survivors sitting with fear right now. Is it danger or is it discomfort? Only you can answer that. But you don’t have to figure it out alone!

API Chaya offers free, confidential, culturally relevant services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Because you deserve support. And you deserve to heal.

Introducing Survivor Hot Takes 🔥 Episode 1.

We’re not shocked enough about the right things.

Yes, Epstein. And also your neighbor. Your family member. The thing that got swept under the rug at your last family dinner.

This has been happening in our own backyards forever. The fact that it takes billionaires and leaked files for people to pay attention just shows how little we actually believe survivors.

Believe the ones making headlines. And believe the ones in your own life.

API Chaya supports survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking with free, confidential, culturally relevant services. Because survivors deserve to be believed and to heal.
