This year, HIP honored three members of our community who have contributed much to HIP over the years. The first was TW Wang, a long-time volunteer of Senior Meals, who was bestowed with the Lifetime Achievement Award. TW has given so much of his time to the Senior Meals program. He not only served the most volunteer hours last year, but also across all of HIP's history.
TW had the following to say, "Thanks, Darcy, for...the beautiful certificate of appreciation signed by you and Srijan.
I know quite well that running a non-profit such as HIP is very difficult. It has to rely on many volunteers. I devote my time and energy to the meal program and activities so that more and more seniors can benefit....I enjoy it wholeheartedly....I still remember Christmas Eve of 2018, I told you, Darcy, the number one thing I was delighted [about] was [that] after nearly three months of hard work, we finally got back the three bins for putting our food waste, recycle, and garbage. [The] Number two thing [that] delight[ed] me was that I became [a] first-time grandpa that year."
Many thanks to TW for his many years of spirited commitment to the Senior Meals program! Stay tuned to learn more about our awardees!
