The April issue of KP’s monthly newsletter COPY focused on music and featured a Collab from the Kennedy’s X. Sharing here the beautiful video they created inspired by Yosh*tomo Nara.

Directed by Candy Kennedy, with Mark Sherman behind the camera, and Eugene Jho styling this piece builds on a simple premise and pushes into something more layered, more intentional.

“For this piece, we wanted to create a cocktail film that felt visually beautiful on the surface, but carried a deeper emotional tension underneath. We drew inspiration from Yosh*tomo Nara’s world — particularly the contrast between innocence and unrest — and used that as the foundation for the visual language of the film. The palette was built around colors we felt echoed that tension, while the reference to snow came from his childhood and became a symbolic element throughout the piece. We also used war-inspired sound cues as transitions, bringing in a subtle sense of disruption and memory beneath the elegance of the drink film. One of our favorite moments is the snowflake resting on the cocktail, which then pulls back to reveal the red circle against white — a quiet visual nod to the Japanese flag. The goal was to make something that felt poetic, slightly unsettling, and refined: a cocktail portrait shaped by beauty, history, and contradiction.” -Candy Kennedy

Throwback : Alaska 2014

We did a series of broadcast spots in Alaska with David Remer and AlaskaUSA for several years in a row and got to experience Alaska as only outside creatives can..by the hospitality of the locals.
So many fond memories of walking the glaciers, flying low seaplanes and seeing bears and whales, riding snow machines across frozen lakes and eating and laughing with our local guides.

Why We Bought an Arm Car 🏁🎥

At Kontent Partners, staying fresh means embracing discomfort. Complacency kills creativity, so we challenge ourselves—whether in storytelling or the tools we use.

Eight years ago, that mindset led us to buy an arm car.

In 2017, we took a six-figure gamble on one of the first arm-mounted camera systems. No guarantees, just late nights, problem-solving, and rethinking production from the ground up. The payoff? A 4X return and a game-changing shift in how we create.

The arm car sparked new collaborations, opened doors, and pushed us beyond cars. We’ve filmed skateboarders, runners, and used it as a mobile jib for agile shoots—all reinforcing our commitment to innovation.

Today, multiple arm systems and vehicles are part of our arsenal. This journey connected us with amazing people, taught us invaluable lessons, and enriched our production world in ways we never imagined. None of it would’ve happened if we’d played it safe.

When things feel routine, take the leap. Discomfort drives growth.
