LAST CHANCE! Tonight is the closing performance of Meet Me at Dawn by Zinnie Harris at 18th & Union.

This has been an extraordinary, special production. It's a gorgeous show, stretching the capabilities of the tiny 18th & Union stage. And it's a play that genuinely touches the heart.

Thanks to our beautiful cast, Jennifer Faulkner and Jordi Montes, to our super-stage manager Becca Pauza, assistant director Amy Gang, streaming manager José Amador, and to our brilliant design team Rob Witmer, Amber Parker, Robin Macartney, Amy LaZerte, Kwame Braun, Anna Shih, and Sandra Huezo-Menjivar. And to everyone who's seen the show and will see the show tonight!

We still have a few tickets left for tonight's final performance, and we'll also be live streaming one last time. Come see!

Playwright Michael Gene Sullivan among Bay Area winners of Guggenheim Fellowship 04/08/2022

Congratulations to Michael Gene Sullivan! Michael is best known as Resident Playwright of the never-silent San Francisco Mime Troupe.

But more importantly to Radial Theater Project, Michael wrote the brilliant adaptation of George Orwell's 1984 that we recently produced at 18th & Union: an arts space.

Michael has been named a 2022 Guggenheim Fellow. We can't think of anyone more deserving!

Playwright Michael Gene Sullivan among Bay Area winners of Guggenheim Fellowship Typical grant amounts range from $30,000 to $45,000, and a baker's dozen of Bay Area residents are among the winners.

Your Seat Awaits!

There are only 3 more performances of George Orwell's 1984 at 18th & Union: an arts space (tonight, Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm), and only a few seats left for in-person attendance at each performance. Don't be left out!

Radial Theater Project 03/22/2022

This weekend is your last chance to see George Orwell’s 1984, adapted for the stage by Michael Gene Sullivan. This production must close this Saturday, March 26.

The cast: Ryan Higgins, K Brian Neel, Marianna de Fazio, Brad Cook, Lyam White, and Michael Ramquist

The creative team: José Amador, Will Darling, Emma Hagerman, Cole Hornaday, May Nguyen Lee, Amber Lynn Parker, K.d. Schill, and Rob Witmer

More audience responses…

Extraordinary! Kudos to the cast, the director, and the stunning music, set and lighting. What an amazing experience.

The book is a grim cautionary tale, but this show is a live-and-present story of how Winston's resistance sparks a tiny light of change in those around him, even as Winston's own fire burns out. I left the show not in angsty despair but nurturing a tiny but undeniable hope for the metaphoric spring.
