“These independent venues are so important because, without them, you wouldn't have your Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Taylor Swift. We all had to start somewhere and these places are integral to the building of an actual artist. Before you rock the stadium, you have to rock your local clubs first. It’s a right of passage.”

I was thinking tonight... 500 years ago when a war or geno cide or major harm was happening in one part of the world... In another place far way, someone unaware was playing a song or birthing a baby or kissing someone new, helping a friend in need... and the long arc of justice marched on... and is still arching. Aching? I wonder if I'm overdoing it with empathy and awareness some days.
