CollinsWoerman is leading a comprehensive Master Plan Development application for AvalonBay Communities, including conceptual design of new roadways, open space and infrastructure grids centered around a new neighborhood park and coordinated new and improved site access points.
We navigated newly adopted Overlake and multi-family mixed-use zoning requirements while respectfully transitioning building scale and pedestrian environments around 8+ acres of critical areas to ensure compliance and long-term viability. By staying flexible and solution-focused, we are delivering a strategic framework that supports AvalonBay Communities’ future growth and values.
We are proud to partner with clients to turn complex site challenges into forward-thinking solutions.

We recently sat down with interior designer Marcus to discuss the healthcare design process — exploring the influences behind his work, the importance of creating spaces that support both healing and comfort, and emerging trends shaping the future of healthcare environments.
“Designing healthcare environments often involves navigating a careful balance between efficient, comfort, and long-term performance.”
With 15 years of experience in healthcare and related markets, Marcus brings a people-centered approach to every project. His designs prioritize wellness and carefully consider the experiences of patients, caregivers, and staff, resulting in spaces that are functional, welcoming, and intentionally crafted.

CollinsWoerman designed Kirkland Urban to seamlessly integrate into the existing Peter Kirk Park. The “green” of Peter Kirk Park extends onto the buildings themselves to create a three-dimensional series of terraces, overlooks, and elevated retail decks that provide views of the park, adjacent ball fields, and Kirkland CBD. Just as the park activates the adjacent development, Kirkland Urban activates and enhances the park.

Environmental Graphic Design is most effective when it’s part of the design conversation from the start. At our firm, we integrate graphics with architecture and interiors to elevate placemaking, reinforce brand identity, and strengthen the connection between people and their environment.
Our latest feature explores our customized approach to EGD and highlights our recent work where graphics helped bring environments to life.
