Balanced Meals with Minimal Mess
Wednesday, Sept. 3, 12:00-12:50 p.m., 7NW Cafe

Local registered dietitian, Jill Kott leads an interactive cooking demonstration that will focus on creating balanced meals with minimal mess. The session will showcase practical, one-pot or minimal-equipment recipes that emphasize nutritious, balanced meals with easy prep and cleanup.

This topic is ideal for individuals and families looking for healthy, no-fuss meals that are simple to recreate at home.

Participants will learn:
The foundations of building balanced meals (macronutrients, portioning, etc.)
Time-saving techniques for cooking and cleanup
Strategies for adapting recipes to different dietary needs and available tools
Ideas for batch-cooking and meal prep

Laughter for Health and Wellbeing

The Funny Yogi’s Laughter for Health & Wellbeing Workshop will teach you about the benefits of laughter for physical, mental, social and emotional health. Experience the benefits of laughter for yourself, through the practice of intentional laughter with your co-workers. No jokes, just a HEAL-arious time together.

Yoga Nidra
Monday, May 12, 4:30 p.m. and Thursday, May 22, 12:10 p.m.
Java Gym Group Fitness Studio, 7NE/Virtual on Zoom

Yoga Nidra, meaning “yogic sleep,” is a guided relaxation technique that leads practitioners into a state between wakefulness and sleep, promoting deep relaxation and self-awareness. In this workshop you’ll discover how yoga nidra can benefit your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing and then participants will be guided through a practice that takes you through various stages of relaxation, including body awareness, breath awareness, and guided imagery.

De-Stress Fest: An Art Therapy Day
Tuesday, April 29, 3:00–6:00 p.m., 7NW Cafe
Join us for a three-hour pop-up art therapy studio featuring four different creative relaxation stations. Guests will be invited to choose from a variety of activities such as clay, paint, collage, and coloring. Drop in for a short burst of creative activity or stay awhile and explore the array of therapeutic benefits from a range of art media. An art therapist will be present to guide the creative process and provide insight into the neuroscience of art therapy!

Station 4: Clay

This event is open to all partners and registration is not required.

Fleet Feet Gait Analysis
Thursday, March 20 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Java Gym Group Fitness Studio

Fleet Feet returns to the SSC to provide 1:1 gait analysis and shoe fittings. You’ll receive a comprehensive look at your foot, try on footwear, and discuss form and common running - related performance issues. Reduce the risk of injury and increase performance by finding your best shoe fit. Shoes will be available onsite to purchase at a 20% discount. Purchase not required to participate. All partners are welcome.

Sessions are available for two partners every 20 minutes beginning at 11 a.m. Email [email protected] to register.

Six-Week Salsa Class

Salsa is the most popular of all Latin dances. In this six-week series, you’ll learn the basic steps, rhythm, musicality, shines, routines, and flavoring from master salsa instructors Reinier Valdes & Daniela Gallardo.

Fueling Your Workday: Building Balanced Meals for Sustained Energy
