Schematic drawing for our nearly completed Edmonds project. Work is currently underway on the integrated patio designed to seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor spaces. Stay tuned for final images.

The “Trestle House” used a truss steel frame to economically address the steeply sloping site. Additionally, a 12’ x 16’ framing grid provided a short structural span based upon standard 4’ x 8’ sheets of plywood emulating the traditional Japanese Tatami mat module.

Hallway view from our Madrona live / work project. Steel blinders hide the kitchen and concealed equipment that pivots out for use, while a wood-clad service core houses the kitchen and powder room.

Custom entry doors that were recreated based on the original design at our restoration and remodel of a 1960 Ibsen Nelson house. This was a total interior remodel that updated yet respected the iconic details of the original home.

We are currently looking for a Project Designer/Architect with at least 3-5 years of experience who has the following skills and qualifications:

-A passion for architecture.
-A Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree.
-Proficiency with AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel.
-Experience with residential “light-frame” construction methods and technical construction details.
-Knowledge of local codes and permitting processes.
-A motivated generalist with the capacity for being detail oriented.
-An ability to self-manage project goals and deadlines.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with clients and consultants.
-A collaborative team member with a sense of humor.
