The “Trestle House” used a truss steel frame to economically address the steeply sloping site. Additionally, a 12’ x 16’ framing grid provided a short structural span based upon standard 4’ x 8’ sheets of plywood emulating the traditional Japanese Tatami mat module.

Custom entry doors that were recreated based on the original design at our restoration and remodel of a 1960 Ibsen Nelson house. This was a total interior remodel that updated yet respected the iconic details of the original home.

We are currently looking for a Project Designer/Architect with at least 3-5 years of experience who has the following skills and qualifications:

-A passion for architecture.
-A Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree.
-Proficiency with AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel.
-Experience with residential “light-frame” construction methods and technical construction details.
-Knowledge of local codes and permitting processes.
-A motivated generalist with the capacity for being detail oriented.
-An ability to self-manage project goals and deadlines.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with clients and consultants.
-A collaborative team member with a sense of humor.
