Kin On
We honor and support our elders and families by offering culturally Asian healthcare services. True to giving back. True to paying it forward. Their money.
Kin On was born out of a deep need and the generous support the Asian community. We were one of the first Asian language nursing homes in America and have become the inspiration for many since our inception in 1985. More than 30 years later, we continue to expand our offerings in both depth of care and the types of options we provide. Meanwhile, we are preparing for one the greatest influxes of ne

๐ฎ What does "home" really mean in Asian cultures?
In many Asian languages, home and family are the same word. Home has always meant multiple generations together, elders honored, and care that never stops โ even after you've moved out.
At Kin On, we carry these values forward. Our Supportive Housing offers affordable, culturally sensitive care where Asian elders can live with dignity and belonging โ like a family.

๐ฟ This AANHPI Heritage Month, our incredible volunteers showed up and showed out โ pulling weeds, clearing the parking lot, and brightening the window views for our Supportive Housing residents. Their care and hard work mean more than words can say!
Want to be part of it? We have two more cleanup sessions this June!

๐ Few things bring people together quite like a mahjong table โ tiles clacking, friends laughing, and everyone deep in the rhythm of the game.
At Kin On, mahjong is more than a game โ it's a beloved pastime that brings our residents, Healthy Living members, and activity volunteers together across generations and cultures.
Three times a year, we also open our tables to the community for Mahjong Nights โ a chance to play, connect, and share a piece of Asian heritage that has traveled from 1800s China to living rooms around the world. โจ

๐ A heartfelt thank-you to Jade Guild!
Every new year, every birthday, every milestone โ the incredible women of Jade Guild make sure no occasion goes unacknowledged. If you've ever received a card from us, know that it was handcrafted with care by Jade Guild members at their monthly Crafts & Chat gathering here at the Seattle Community Center.
They are the quiet backbone behind every "thank you" we send โ and we couldn't be more grateful. ๐

๐ฟ Slow breath. Flowing arms. A moment of stillness in motion. Tai chi is an ancient Chinese practice that has brought generations together in parks, courtyards, and community centers across Asia and beyond.
Every Thursday, our Eastside community gathers for something special โ tai chi during Tea Time at our Eastside Community Center. It's a moment to move, breathe, and connect, followed by a warm cup of tea and lively conversation on a new topic each week. ๐ต
