Happy weekend, friends! I have a lot on the docket, but still hope to find an hour or two to enjoy the fall garden. One of my favorite containers has a fuzzy blue succulent that just erupted with tiny pink flowers. I love these kinds of surprises! And the Dichondra Silver Falls from the pot next to it is cascading in a very fabulous way. It’s like these plants were working up to this moment all summer!

Just made my first Floral Soil "cupcake" with succulent frosting. Still love making cake slices, but these are so much easier and still very fun!

I made some birthday cake today for Robin Haglund (of Garden Mentors), my longtime garden coach and a wonderful friend. Happy birthday, Robin! Thank you for all of the ways you've enriched my life, including encouraging me to make botanical cake.
