Destination Delridge is happening THIS WEEK!! The party will feature Benjamin Hunter as musical guest! We are honored to have this award winning multi-instrumentalist, composer, community activist, social entrepreneur, and educator sharing his talents with our guests.

Benjamin Hunter is the founder and director of Community Arts Create, co-founder of the Hillman City Collaboratory, co-founder of Black & Tan Hall, sits on the Seattle Music Commission, and is a teaching artist for JazzEd as well as festivals around the world.

Welcome the newest member to the Nature Team, Erin!! 💚✨

Erin first joined DNDA as a teaching artist in 2022, and joined the staff team in March as EcoArts Program Coordinator. Erin now supports all of our youth arts programming, bringing a collaborative approach that fits right in at DNDA. Erin works with young people to foster a sense of belonging and joy through arts and creative expression. We're so glad to have you on the team, Erin!!!

Did you know has several Great Blue Heron nests? Learn about this beautiful bird at Green Tukwila Partnership's Wildlife Wednesday event, March 1.
This is a hybrid event happening at Tukwila Community Center and via Zoom!

Did you know that we have Blue Herons in Tukwila? They have been seen in the parks and along the riverbed throughout Tukwila. A couple years ago we had a large nest at Bicentennial Park with babies!

With snow on the ground and an expected high of 32 degrees tomorrow, it's too cold to host our planned volunteer event, so we've cancelled.

We'll be on holiday break next week and back at it again on Saturday, January 7. Thanks for all your help in 2022, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

🗣 Come work with us!

DNDA is recruiting for two Urban Forest Restoration Interns to join our Nature team for the new year. The intern supports the work of the Nature team to advance the restoration of the West Duwamish Greenbelt and Longfellow Creek watershed by conducting and leading volunteer-based forest restoration efforts. This position reports to the Restoration Program Coordinator.
