One year ago today, Familiar Elements: Visible and Invisible opened at Frederick Holmes and Company Gallery in Seattle, WA.
That night stays with me—the work installed throughout the gallery, the conversations, the sense of it all coming together. I was fortunate to share the exhibition with my friend, colleague, and fellow FH&CO artist, Elise Wagner, and to have been represented by the gallery for 12 years.
By the end of 2025, Fred Holmes retired and closed the gallery after 12½ years of directing this celebrated gallery presenting thoughtfully curated exhibitions alongside live jazz performances in Seattle’s Pioneer Square.
Thank you Fred for your steady vision, your generosity, and for creating something that supported so many artists over the years. Wishing you a beautiful next chapter.
Day 100
100 Days of Noticing
One hundred days. One small work each morning.
What began as a simple daily practice became a way to slow down, pay closer attention, and let the work evolve.
Today’s work feels quiet and minimal, a natural place to land after one hundred days of looking, noticing, and making.
100 Days of Noticing | Day 98 + Day 18
Same threshold.
Different moment.
A return.
A shift.
Time, quietly passing.
