Amrita Seattle's Library Needs Your Help !
As our children libraries and mobile library unit grow in number and strength, we are still in desperate need for children's science reference books. Illustrative science books and encyclopedias are very difficult to find for our children living in rural remote isolated communities. As a result science remains an abstract subject to them. We have carefully prepared a wish-list of encyclopedias that would catalyze the growth of our children's minds. Please consider helping our children through these books. All the books in our wishlist is available in Amazon. Your generosity makes it possible for us to reach and respond to hundreds of children.

Learning Through Pictures: Yasmin and the kids painting colorful wall murals that illustrates science concepts for different grade levels. Being so remote, it is very difficult for the children to lay hands upon well illustrated textbooks. Often they don't even have a text book. It is very difficult for children to understand science (and math) concepts if they cannot visualize it. Having these mural displays will effectively reiterate and reinforce the concepts within the children.
All the illustration will have text written in English and Nepali to help the children learn and reinforce the materials in their own language as well !
Thank you Yasmin for this marvelous work !
