“This one time at band camp…” Frida is the smoking, swearing, filterless mentor character that we all need in our lives. She’s a client of Celeste’s and helps her deconstruct the cage of expectations that’s been holding her back from reinventing herself. Don’t worry, I promise no mentors meet their demise in these cozy small town romance books!! Now available in print and ebook: LOVE AND PICKLEBALL. A small town sports romcom where a sweet nerdy pickleball coach falls for the sexy crossword-obsessed divorcee, with five dill-ightful crossword puzzles and spice.

Not your mama’s writing tools: check out the programs I use for drafting, editing, formatting, designing covers, and marketing to indie publish Love and Pickleball! I don’t know if any are having deals for Cyber Monday, but it’s a good time to check. Writers: what are your must-have computer programs for organizing, drafting, and marketing?? Happy Small Business Saturday! I wanted to shout out Seattle’s original romance bookstore that started as a book truck and recently opened an adorable brick and mortar in Pioneer Square: Beguiled Books! I was so excited to finally visit and see the space. They have a cozy upper level for book clubs and a fabulous selection of bookish gifts. Very impressive middle and YA sections. Even a small picture book shelf with everyone’s favorite tear-jerker LOVE YOU FOREVER by Robert Munsch. Next time I bring out of town guests on the Seattle Underground Tour (to see the origin story of the Deadglass Trilogy), we’ll definitely make a stop at Beguiled to stock up! 💕📚💕📚💕📚💕

Warning: this book may give you the warm fuzzies, and it isn’t PG at all (even though all my relatives are reading it 😳😬🫣). Know someone who likes crossword puzzles AND reads romance? This book makes a great holiday gift. Uplifting, smutty, funny…did I mention it’s rated R? Only buy it for your grandma is she’s like Frida.
SO EXCITED to finally visit The Ink Drinker, a brand new book bar in Seattle. I’ve been following their story online as they transformed the space into a well-lit (because reading print needs light!) and relaxing bookish delight. Couches around a grand fireplace are the perfect place to cozy up when it’s raining outside or to meet with your friends for book club. This is the perfect spot for author events (stay tuned!)!!! They have an entire wall of curated books you can read while you visit and a small but growing selection of books for sale. ❤️ Did I mention the food and cocktails are delicious? My pumpkin sage flatbread was foodgasmic. ❤️
