We connect the Seattle live events industry with an inclusive community of event professionals. Our values are the set of principles that we believe in.
All live events delivered through intentional design by recognized professionals. Our values are truths which are the primary driving force behind our band, our actions and our decisions. The truths they stand for guide our organization's communications, our marketing, our decisions, and most importantly, our relationships and connections with our audiences, vendors, prospects, and clients. In 2020, we are taking action to infuse these values throughout our internal culture, systems, and practices. We have initiated deliberate steps to strengthen our organization by introducing the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Task Force. Spearheading our efforts to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) throughout ILEA and the live events industry, the DEI Task Force will review where ILEA stands when it comes to DEI practices, produce education on DEI in live events, provide opportunities to highlight certified minority-owned business, and provide resources and strategies to assist ILEA chapters in becoming more diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Our Mission
Our mission is to expand diversity in our organization by creating a culture of equity, embracing differences, and promoting diverse cultures. We will provide an internationally inclusive safe space for our membership and other event professionals regardless of age, gender, gender identity, ability, ethnicity, nationality, race, and/or sexual orientation. Our Commitment
- To create an organization where all are welcomed, represented, and accepted.
- To better understand the diversity of our membership and identify their needs by providing resources and educational opportunities needed to ensure DEI best practices.
- To create spaces for difficult conversations, hearing all voices and providing leadership where it is needed in our governance, membership, operations, and programs, resulting in the delivery of culturally effective, respectful, and high-quality care to all.
- To align with other like-minded organizations to create change in the live events industry.

Chicago is coming back to Seattle. ✈️
On September 15, ILEA Seattle is gathering at Apella Seattle for Chicago Report Back: Recounting ILEA Live.
Members of our Seattle chapter are heading to Chicago for ILEA’s international meeting, where they’ll connect with event professionals and chapter leaders from across the organization, attend the Esprit Awards, and bring home new ideas, updates, and inspiration for our local events community.
Then we’re getting together to talk about what they learned, what’s happening across ILEA International, and what it could mean for ILEA Seattle moving forward.
