One of the most impressive stretches of Oregon’s rocky and rugged coast. The boom of the water as the waves crash, the ground vibrating beneath your feet - it hits you all at once. There are many ways to feel small and humbled by nature’s power, this is one of my favorite.

Access to green space is one reason I love the PNW. One doesn’t have to go far to feel immersed in nature, something I feel is an essential aspect of life. This scene is from a state park near Olympia, WA nestled in a suburban surrounding. Off to the left is an overpass, just beyond the trees is a series of cascades on the Deschutes River and to the right, a waterfall. What’s your favorite green space near you?

Taking a peek at a peak.

We got a wild hair one Autumn day to get up at 4am and drive to Leavenworth in hopes of a beautiful sunrise. We drove straight to this road, saw a perfect vantage point and got out to start taking photos. Then we spent the rest of our time hiking around the area. This is one of my favorite ways to get out. No real plans, just throwing the gear in the car, heading to a general location and seeing what happens! When’s the last time you explored like that?

One of the busiest places in one of the busiest national parks. But once you get past all the people, oh man does it really feel otherworldly.

Random photo of a beautiful Barn owl from a few years back at a bird sanctuary in Missouri. I've always enjoyed the detail and color in this image but never did anything with it until now. Landscape imagery is becoming somewhat uninteresting and typical for me and I feel like shifting my focus to people and animals. May even start a new account just for that. Thoughts? Have you found yourself at the crossroads of a creative shift? Did the shift open you up to a completely new way of how you work?

Last night's full Harvest moon looked similar to a far away sun-like star surrounded by a gaseous galaxy.
