🥕☀️ A great opening day at the Magnolia Farmers Market!
It was wonderful to see neighbors gathering, kids getting their hands dirty with the new POP (Power of Produce) Club, and community members supporting the Community Pantry’s summer food drive.
This summer, Donna from Donna’s Barber Shop is organizing a community pantry to provide groceries and gift cards for local families who rely on school meal programs during the school year. The pantry will remain active throughout the summer, helping ensure families continue to have access to food when school is out.
Community events like the Farmers Market remind us how much can happen when neighbors come together to support one another.
We’re excited for another season of fresh produce, local vendors, family activities, and community connections in the heart of Magnolia. See you next Saturday!

🚨 Magnolia could lose future light rail stations if Sound Transit scales back the Ballard Link Extension.
A proposal being considered this week would stop the line at Seattle Center instead of extending to Ballard.
That could eliminate planned stations near the Magnolia Bridge and Dravus — a major concern for Magnolia access and emergency mobility.
Please speak up before the May 28 Sound Transit Board meeting.
Even a quick comment helps:
“Build the train to Ballard, with Magnolia stations.”
