Quand Reid Anderson et Dave King, deux des membres fondateurs de The Bad Plus, croisent la route du saxophone expressif de Chris Potter et du piano habité de Craig Taborn, le résultat est un projet hors norme. Ensemble, ils plongent dans le répertoire du mythique quartet américain de Keith Jarrett, celui qui a bouleversé le jazz en fusionnant “swing, liberté et mélodisme folklorique”. Mais ici, il ne s’agit pas d’un simple hommage : c’est une transmission vivante. Les quatre maestros captent l’énergie brute et exploratoire de cette musique à travers un dialogue intense où passé et présent se répondent. Et incarnent avec audace ce souffle de liberté qui rend le jazz éternellement actuel.
