Our Portland office is flourishing, and we’re thrilled to share our journey with you! In 2022, we welcomed Kristen Bishop as the Director of PRR Portland, marking our official return to Oregon. This summer, we expanded our team to include two additional talented individuals: Katy Asher and Sarah Rose Ezelle.

From communications to community engagement and beyond, they're leading the way in our commitment to making a positive impact in the Portland/Vancouver Metro area.

PRR Portland is Growing: Expanded team and new office - Sep 13, 2023 Our Portland office has grown to a team of three dedicated individuals, including Kristen, and an office at VIDA coworking in northeast Portland.

Last week, we had the honor of celebrating the Lunar New Year with our PRR friends! 🏮 As we honor this timeless tradition, we also hold in our hearts the recent tragedy in LA and stand in solidarity with the AAPI community. We got the opportunity to come together to spread love, unity, and respect for all cultures. We learned, we laughed, and we ate, bringing good fortune and joy to the new year! 🧧

“Until we are free, none of us are free.” This is the challenge and the promise, the sorrow and the joy, of Juneteenth – the federal holiday commemorating June 19, 1865, when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce the Civil War had ended and enslaved people were free. Two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, Union General Gordon Granger read the decree and 250,000+ enslaved people in Texas finally knew they were free. Freedom is a thread woven through this nation’s history, one that’s easy to rip and one that’s crucial to reinforce.

As we celebrate Juneteenth, we remember this is not only a day to relish freedom, but also, a day of reflection. What can we each do to protect and expand freedom and abolish anti-Black violence? We invite you to reflect on these questions and then share your ideas, links, and resources in the comments.

And take a moment to celebrate! After all, Juneteenth is America’s real Independence Day.

In these difficult times, June offers a pause to celebrate, dance, protest, reflect, and keep on fighting for freedom, whether you identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or an ally offering your support. Liberation, respect, and authenticity: What makes us unique individuals makes us special, what brings us together in community makes us whole.

May is Older Americans Month! The theme this year is Age My Way. Our client, the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services, runs the Virginia GrandDriver program to provide safe driving tips and resources for older adults so they can stay mobile and independent longer. To help spread the message, PRR created the RadDriver Totally 80s Workout series to help adults stay flexible and fit for driving. Get your groove on:
