We’ve always believed the most beautiful things in life happen when art finds the right room. Since 2023, Pumarosa has been that room for Seattle’s most gifted local artists.

Meet our newest featured artist: Gonzalo Chirinos. |

Gonzalo creates circular paintings where the words ARE the art. Each piece is a poem written into form, in Japanese, English, and Spanish, layered onto handmade kinwashi paper with sumi-e ink.

The result is something you don’t just look at. You sit with it.

His work made the journey from Miami to Seattle, and you can now experience it in person at Pumarosa or during Seattle Downtown Art Walk.
