The dancer who burlesqued, The writer who danced, and the burlesquer who wrote

Thank you to our April F-GENRE Cohort who brought their brilliant minds and open hearts to the stage. F-GENRE is inherently vulnerable, it requires each artist to share their creative process then in just 24 hours, make a piece in a form that is not their own to perform for a live audience. Daunting with the risk of “failure,” each artist arrives at the stage as the core of who they are as a creator without the ability to rest on the technical prowess of the form they’ve dedicated their lives to. The result? These artists show they are artists no matter what they are making — It’s simply who they are. F-GENRE ultimately shows us that new ways creating can hold a mirror to parts of us waiting to feel seen.

It takes courage to say yes to this challenge, so , , and , congratulations on your brilliant works and thank you for your vulnerability.

-Megan

We are thrilled to return to after ’s performance of SUZETTE in 2024. This time, we are taking the 3..2..1 show format with our team , , and

Over the past year, we have seen the impact that 3..2..1 has had on the Seattle Dance Community. Our mission has always been to create containers that allow for somatic expression, creative healing, and the discovery of each artists genius. We aim to license our formats for education and outreach, all while getting the brilliant works of our resident and guest artists in front of the eyes of agents and press. is a step toward SaltShake Productions becoming an international company, and we need your help.

A trip to the is a worthwhile venture and no small feet. Each company is responsible for covering their team’s venue rental, registration fee, housing, and plane ticket. This is a baseline $7,000 investment for SaltShake Productions.

The key word here however, is investment. This trip will allow us to:

•Expand our International Network
•License our Formats
•Offer Steady Stipends to Seattle and International Artists
•Begin our journey of offering Creativity Retreats in Seattle and Scotland

Whether you are a life long artist or have always had a crush on the arts, SaltShake is set on curating your opportunity to be reacquainted with your authentic expression. Our trip to The Edinburgh Fringe is vital in securing the landscape of our companies next chapter, any any donations to our Fringe Fund will come back to you tenfold in the form of performance opportunities, retreats, stipends, and more.
