Marking a Memory Hub Transition: Offering Gratitude to Full Life Care
https://thememoryhub.org/article/gratitude-to-full-life-care
The Memory Hub, operated by UW Memory and Brain Wellness Center, flourishes thanks to a set of amazing collaborator organizations that share the mission to serve people living with memory loss and their families. These key partners meet monthly, intentionally support each other’s work, and enable families to access multiple supportive resources when they come through the door.
Our inaugural group of collaborators - those who provided vision and support before we even opened our doors - include the Frye Art Museum, Full Life Care, Elderwise, and the Alzheimer’s Association. This spring, it’s with a heavy heart that we say farewell to one of these members, Full Life Care. With budget setbacks at the state level, our dear partners had to reduce staff capacity and were no longer able to offer the primary program they had provided on-site, the Dementia Caregiver Education course and associated caregiver coaching.
As of April 2026, Full Life Care is transitioning out of the Memory Hub collaborator role – while always being in our hearts and leaving an enduring legacy. Tegenu Negi and Rena Ferretti have been part of the team since the beginning, and we honor them in this time of transition, with full hearts of gratitude for all they have offered the community here at the Memory Hub!
“We can’t say enough about the positive mission and values of Full Life Care and their staff, what they have offered the Memory Hub community – and what they continue to offer the community at large!” notes Marigrace Becker, Director of the Memory Hub. “We will always be grateful for the opportunity to have worked so closely with an organization so dedicated to serving those with the greatest need, and alongside staff who demonstrate such competence and care.”
Full Life Care helped envision and launch the Memory Hub, offered countless hours of support to family caregivers, helped plan numerous Memory Hub events, and has been a core member of the collaborator family. They remain a dear community partner and continue to offer vital resources to people living with dementia and their families through their core services – such as home care, adult day health programs, and their unique Care Teams program, which matches family caregivers with a team of community volunteers. To learn more about these resources, view their website: fulllifecare.org. Meanwhile, the door is always open to bringing Full Life Care back as a Memory Hub collaborator if circumstances change. Please join us in thanking Rena, Tegenu, and all at Full Life Care for their meaningful service!
