An under stair space transforms into a wine cellar. The Owners had a vision of something unique and found the pegs to hold the bottles. We then wrapped the space with a walnut veneer and put the framelss glass panels to complete the look.

These three photos show a contemporary steel floating stair from both inside and out. The goal was to make the stair on the street side of the residence a piece of art in itself. From inside, it appears to float structureless and unattached to the walls. From the exterior the stair glows at night and becomes an important feature of the front facade. The finishing touch of the Owner's art on the landing wall is the perfect compliment. I love how that piece of art can be the focus while the stairs and rail recede.

More and more we are able to use LED lighting in our designs in ways that were not possible prior. In this bedroom retreat we placed a small half-inch wide light at the transition between the wall and ceiling. It serves as a nice accent light when not using the room as well as highlights the beautiful natural wood wall covering.

How about this for a Game Lounge? This room comes complete with a pool table, shuffle board, and cocktail bar. The large doors open up to an infinity edge

We love designing pools. They have become a lot more popular in the Seattle area in recent years. This pool is placed on a tiered waterfront lot at one level below the bottom floor of the house. Below it is a bocce court that sits just above Lake Washington. All have spectacular views of the lake.

We view the exterior spaces and gardens as integral when designing a new home. It would be really difficult to hand it off to another firm when it is so personal to us. Nothing better than coming back to visit and seeing the gardens mature.
