West Seattle Mid-Century Kitchen Renovation
The overall design concept was to open up the space, open up the view and preserve the Mid-Century character of the home.
The finished product offers clean lines, custom mahogany cabinetry, Fisher & Paykel Appliances, and custom quartzite countertops. A mixture of warm wood tones was used to keep with the mid-century palette.
A wall was removed to create an open-concept space/great room for better livability.
New white oak hardwoods, new windows to take advantage of the western facing water view.

Normandy Park Renovation.
Homeowners wanted a Northwest Asian aesthetic, still respecting the mid-century origin and lines of the home.
This mid-century was a flip home prior and had been changed to a craftsman interior years ago. The desire was to redesign the home to better reflect the original era and lines. Homeowners chose a zen palette to work with.
We used a mixture of stained and natural bamboo as well as
charcoal slate throughout the interiors.
Custom bamboo cabinets bring in a warm tone and bamboo flooring reflects a natural tone.
The charcoal slate offsets the warm tones with a cool touch of modern.
Rebuilt fireplace with charcoal colored slate as a focal point.
Rearranged walls in main floor, reconfiguring space to take advantage of existing sky lights to bring in a flood of natural light. An overall better floor plan creating an open, longer and much more functional space.

Examples of redesigned space. I opened up interiors by removing walls to take advantage of the view, and or add more light and create an overall more functional floor plan.
Custom cabinetry and custom rails.
A main floor redesign on a 1964 split level, mid-century home in Shorewood.
We removed the east and west walls to create an open concept living space for a more desirable and functional flow.
The now light filled living room, dining room and re-designed kitchen with eating space offer a renewed function and space for family needs and entertaining ease.
Remodeled main floor bathroom.
Quite a transformation!
