Final service for Pastor Paul, Sept. 8th, 2024. Joint service with One Life Community Church. We did the service and the hearing church joined us. End of service we had the Deaf come up. Pastor thanked and blessed them, then they did the same for Pastor and Ruth. God is soooo good.

Pastor Paul here. As some of you know, I’m retiring from NewHopeDeaf on Sept 8th.

We plan a special service on the 8th. Since we’ve been at One Life Community Church we’ve had 2-3 joint services a year. One time we join their service. The next time we do our Deaf church service and the hearing church joins us. Both churches are partners. Both follow Jesus. Both teach each other. It works.

Sept 8th, One Life joins NewHopeDeaf as we celebrate the past and pray for the future.

Pastor Paul is retiring, and his last service will be Sept. 8th, 10AM. We will have a joint service with One Life Community Church. NewHopeDeaf will do our service and the hearing church will join us. It will be live streamed. More information coming soon. All are welcome.

Good news, NewHopeDeaf will continue! I will retire September 8th, and the church will continue meeting. We'll have more info soon. God is very good indeed.

Hi everyone. It’s time to retire. This started back in January. For 30 years I’d felt God’s hand telling me to stay at NewHopeDeaf. Then His hand started moving off. Lots and lots of prayer. “What did I do wrong?” What came back was, “Nothing. I have new plans for you. It’s time.”

I talked with family. After praying, they agreed. I talked with close friends, some pastors. They agreed, and I thank God for their prayers. Sunday, July 7, I told our Deaf leaders so they could be praying. They’ve done a great job of that. This last Friday and Sunday I told our Zoom church and Sunday church.

NewHopedDeaf now has two weeks to decide what God wants with NewHopeDeaf. Stay a full church and try to find a pastor. Or become a Bible study for now. Or thank God for everything He’s done and shut down. I will help them, but they must decide. They have two weeks to pray and ask God what’s next for them.

Decision time is August 2nd and 4th.

My last days preaching will be Friday, September 6, for the Zoom church and September 8 for the Sunday church. We’ll let you know about the decision and future plans.

Jesus has been faithful, is faithful, will be faithful. He has good plans for all of us, and I look forward to seeing what they are.
