Halfway through 2026, and we want to take a moment to acknowledge the community that makes this work possible.

This association exists to stand behind our members and the families connected to them. Whether the day brings good news or hard news, our job is to be there. That has not changed in six months. It will not change in the next six.

The second half of the year typically brings the highest demand for everything we do. We are ready for it, and we are grateful for the community standing with us going in.

82 years ago today, more than 156,000 Allied troops crossed the English Channel and stormed five beaches along the coast of Normandy, France. By the end of June 6, 1944, over 4,400 of them had given their lives. The largest amphibious invasion in human history changed the trajectory of World War II and, with it, the world.

Many members of this association are veterans. Many have parents and grandparents who served. The legacy of the men who landed at Normandy lives in the people who wear a uniform today, regardless of which one it is.

Today, this association honors them. Their courage was the cost of the freedoms we still defend every shift.

Share this post in honor of the men who gave everything on June 6, 1944.

Memorial Day is a day with one purpose. To remember.

General John A. Logan issued the proclamation establishing Decoration Day in 1868, and after World War I it was expanded from honoring Civil War casualties to honoring the American military fallen from every conflict. In 1971, Congress officially declared it a federal holiday observed on the last Monday in May. A tradition that began with flowers on graves is now observed by more than 330 million Americans each year.

Our personnel are out across the community today maintaining security so that every cemetery visit, every memorial service, and every family gathering can happen without incident. They show up on days like this because that is what this profession asks of them.

Comment below with the name of a fallen service member you are honoring today.

Today is Peace Officer Memorial Day, and our association is pausing to honor it the right way.

On October 1, 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed Public Law 87-726, officially designating May 15 as the day this nation recognizes law enforcement personnel killed or disabled in the line of duty. According to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, an average of 150 to 160 law enforcement professionals are killed in the line of duty every year in the United States.

In observance of this day, we are running a fundraising drive. Financial stability for surviving families is not a bonus. It is a responsibility we take seriously.

Some losses are too large to fully comprehend. Today is Children of Fallen Patriots Day, and it asks us to sit with one of those losses for a moment.

An estimated 25,000 children have lost a parent in military service over the last 35 years. May 13 was selected as the observance date because it marks the establishment of Arlington National Cemetery in 1864, a permanent reminder of what military service can cost. The Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation has awarded over 82 million dollars in scholarships to more than 4,000 of these children since 2002.

Our association understands what it means to lose someone in the line of duty. We stand with these families today and encourage our community to do the same.

This week is National Police Week, and it carries a weight that words do not always do justice to.

National Police Week 2026 runs from May 11 through May 17, with memorial ceremonies, honor guard tributes, and survivor events taking place across Washington D.C. This year marks the 38th Annual Candlelight Vigil, where the names of every law enforcement professional killed in the line of duty in the past year are read aloud, one by one, in front of the families and colleagues they left behind.

For our association, this week is personal.

The members we represent know what it takes to put on the uniform every day. They know the names of the ones who did not come home. They carry that with them on every shift, and they show up anyway, because that is the job.

Share this post so every name remembered this week reaches one more person.

Happy Mother's Day to every mother in our community and in our ranks.

The holiday has been with us longer than most people realize. In 1908, Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother in Grafton, West Virginia, and the idea spread so quickly that by 1914 President Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation making it a national holiday. Today, Mother's Day is one of the highest-grossing retail holidays in the United States, generating over 35 billion dollars in spending annually according to the National Retail Federation.

The mothers in our ranks show up for this community every shift. The mothers at home supporting our members carry just as much. Both deserve more than one day of recognition. But today, we make sure they get it.

Share this post and tag a mother who deserves to be recognized today.

Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day to every husband and wife holding down the home front.

The numbers tell part of the story. There are approximately one million active duty and reserve military spouses in this country managing households, careers, and families alongside the reality of deployment. Studies show that military spouses relocate on average every two to three years, making career stability one of the most persistent challenges they face.

Members of this association who serve in reserve components rely on that support every single day. Their spouses deserve the same recognition we give to the members themselves.

Tag a military spouse in the comments today so we can acknowledge them directly.

Happy Cinco de Mayo to every family in our community celebrating today.

The date marks something worth knowing. On May 5, 1862, a Mexican army of roughly 4,000 soldiers defeated a French force of more than 6,000 at the Battle of Puebla under General Ignacio Zaragoza. The French army had not suffered a major battlefield defeat in nearly 50 years before that day. It became one of the most celebrated moments in Mexican military history and a symbol of resilience that carries forward to this day.

Our members are out on patrol making sure every celebration in this community stays safe so families can enjoy it the way it was meant to be enjoyed.

Happy 118th birthday to the United States Army Reserve.

What started on April 23, 1908 as a small Medical Reserve Corps of 160 doctors has grown into a federal force of approximately 172,000 trained soldiers who balance full civilian lives with full military readiness. That is not a backup plan. That is a deliberate, disciplined commitment to being ready when the country calls, without setting everything else aside to do it.

Several members of this association serve in the Army Reserve, bringing that same discipline and commitment directly into the work they do in this community every day. Two sets of responsibilities. One standard of service.

Share this post to recognize every Army Reserve soldier in your network today.
