Our Outreach Ensemble is at Pride in the Park today (Saturday, June 6). They will also be performing on June 17 to stop ballot measures that would harm children, especially those who are queer/gender nonconforming. The wonderful will also be performing!

Here’s some fun info! and are doing a really neat art show that opens on June 13. You can go to our STANCE concert at 3pm at UCUCC (right by the U District lightrail stop). Right after the show, you can take the train down to Pioneer Square and see some really wonderful new art that is about trans people/T4T/all that fun stuff!

Go on an adventure with us these next few weeks!

Mari Esabel Valverde’s song “We Hold Your Names Sacred” is about remembering our fallen trans siblings. We know that our community (especially those of color) often faces injustice. We sang this piece at our Trans Day of Remembrance concert in 2025, and it still feels so relevant.

On June 12 and 13 in U District (in Seattle), we will share “What Trans Joy Looks Like.” We will feature our 100+ member trans choir, our smaller Oureach Choir, personal stories from musicains in our choir, and elected officials. Being trans is not just about facing hardships. In rehearsals and at our performances, we share joy, laughter, and peace with our community.

Tickets in our bio - we have sliding scale tickets. All people are welcome to attend, regardless of identity.

We had such a lovely time meeting with ! She will be speaking at our concert on Saturday, June 13 at 3pm. On June 12, we will have speak.

At our meeting, we also learned that Councilmember Rinck has powerful connections to music - she was really involved in marching band and played flute. Like us, she knows that music creates community.

Last week in Wisconsin, composer ‘s concert band piece “Mother of a Revolution” (a homage to Marsha P. Johnson) was banned from being performed.

Music has an incredible impact on all of us. STANCE uses music to create a world where all of us can exist, regardless of external expectations.

Councilmember Rinck’s work on (which seeks to protect trans and LGBTQ+ children) is so incredibly valuable.

In times like these, we must stand together and show that we are stronger when we love one another.
