I spoke about title clearance changes with the 10th circuit adopting a modified version of Rogers v Grimaldi (which Prof Tushnet called profoundly misguided), and the increase in competitive advertising (and its application online and in domain names).

Amazon counsel establishes boutique IP firm Amazon senior counsel Stephen Coates has left the online retailer to establish his own boutique IP firm, Coates IP.

Often, a cookie cutter approach just doesn't work.
This is an interesting example on how a C&D ended up creating significantly more attention than had the brand just reached out with a friendly request. The last video is worth watching, and the parody inventor noted that he wished Crocs had just reached out directly, and noted other brands reacted very differently to his parodies.
