ᴇɴɢɪɴᴇᴇʀᴇᴅ ꜰᴏʀ ᴛʜᴇ ᴇʟᴇᴍᴇɴᴛꜱ

Due to the home’s proximity to the open water along the Strait of San Juan, wind-driven rain made the south porch unusable for much of the year.
To transform the space into a true year-round living area, we undertook a structural upgrade—removing the existing wood superstructure and introducing a steel moment frame. Engineered to withstand coastal wind loads, this system provides the strength and rigidity required for expansive openings and full-height glazing.
With the new structure in place, the porch will be enclosed with floor-to-ceiling Kolbe Windows & Doors — bringing in natural light, expansive views, and comfort through shifting coastal conditions. A high-performance building envelope ensures long-term durability without compromising the view.

ᴘᴏᴜʀ ᴅᴇᴄɪꜱɪᴏɴꜱ 🗿

Milestone moment on site for our music room, wellness space, and amphitheater project. Completed the initial grade beam and slab pour utilizing 14 concrete trucks. During this phase, isolated slab conduit was installed for all outlets and speakers to minimize potential frequency interference and support optimal system performance.

A Scandi-eclectic powder bath with plenty of personality, designed for a client who traded the desert Southwest for the moody coastal spirit of the Pacific Northwest.

Fun fact: The round window reflected in the mirror is original to the houseboat, designed to mimic a classic porthole found on boats ⚓️
