KASPERS- Kids and Single Parents Emergency Relief Services.

We are a non-profit organization helping families in Snohomish County and North King County connect with local services. During the Christmas season, we help families struggling financially obtain presents for their children. We usually raise funds through the giving tree and gift wrapping fundraisers hosted at Fred Meyers in Kirkland, but due to Covid restrictions, we haven't been able to raise funds for this holiday season. Last year we were able to use the remaining funds from the previous year to help 23 families.

This year we are asking for the communities help in gathering items such as toys, clothing, gift wrapping paper, and gift cards. Trees are also welcomed for families that may not be able to afford one this year. This year has been challenging for many, and our list of families in need has grown. Our mission is to help these families provide a sense of normalcy for the children by keeping the Christmas spirit and giving them something to look forward to.

We are looking for donations from the community to help us fulfill the needs of our families. We will be scheduling pick-up days for easy porch pick-up or can schedule a meeting location with an open time frame. We ask that items not be wrapped as some families prefer to wrap the gifts themselves, and we can wrap gifts for families that request them. You can also adopt a family or child and provide gifts for that family or child exclusively. We can provide you with information such as age, wish list, and clothing size.

If you are in need this year or if you know if a family is in need of our services, please have them sign up here: https://forms.gle/aSffwb2eecfSWp9n7

About KAPSERS: KASPERS was started 15 years ago by a single mother of 7 in Bothell, Washington. She struggled with raising her 7 kids and found it difficult to access resources in the community. During the holiday season, she didn't know how she would afford to provide a normal Christmas experience for her children as she had no funds for gifts or a tree. Now that her children are grown she has made it her mission to help single parents in need and provide a sense of normalcy for their children during the holiday season. KASPERS has helped 200+ families with Christmas gifts, trees, and community resources over the past 15 years. Our biggest year raised funds for 52 families!
