Dear Wizards,

Wow, that's what I call a NYE party. Thank you for making these last ten years better than I ever could have dreamed. I'm so effing sad to know it's the end for the Grizz, but so thankful for all the great times we had together.

Whether you worked behind the bar, drank with us, potlucked, laughed, cried, danced, eulogized, played football, made friends, yelled at the TV, Solstice Partied, watched bad movies, watched good movies, shaved mullets, pooped in the back bathroom, headbanged, took Sh*tty Bombs and Hawaiian Pizza Shots with us, or all of the above, I raise my glass to you. You all helped create the most extreme dive in the multiverse, and we couldn't have done it without each and every one of you maniacs.

Yo, the Grizz will be open tonight from 7:00 until close, closed tomorrow for Christmas Day, and open at 4:00 on Thursday.

If you haven’t heard by now, it’s true: after nearly a decade serving the wonderful people of Wallingford and beyond, the Grizzled Wizard is calling it quits. It’s been a great run and it was our pleasure being here for you. It’s no exaggeration to say that we have the best goddamn customers, and many of whom are practically family to the staff, and to each other.

Our last day of operations will be Tuesday, December 31st, exactly 10 years to the day from when we got the keys to what would become The Most Extreme Dive in the Multiverse™.

As far as the future of the Grizz space, we’re happy to let you know that our friends from Korochka Tavern (formerly of Lake City) will be making their new home there. We felt that they would make a strong addition to the neighborhood, and we think that everyone who made our little community what it was will find a home there too. No opening day set for them, but stay tuned to social media for updates.

Whether it’s been five days or five years since you’ve visited the Grizz, please stop by in the next few weeks. We’d love to see you.

We still had this flyer kicking around from a few years ago, and it's still applicable! We'll be open at 8:00 PM on Thanksgiving for all of your post-feast drinking needs.
