We are such big fans of these two lovely women and you will be, too, if you listen to their DOUBLE EXPOSURE podcast.
https://www.doublexposurepod.com
Season Two is in full swing and it is truly a joy to listen to them interview key figures from Seattle's creative community. Folks like artists Jake Prendez and Angelina Villalobos (who was featured in the March issue of PublicDisplay.ART), educator Jessica Peña-Manalo, dancers Josh Grant and Chris Montoya, Northwest Folklife's Managing Director Reese Tanimura and Artistic Director Ben Hunter, and so many others.
You would be hard pressed to find better hosts. Each interview provides listeners with a deep dive into the minds who are leading the way in Seattle's arts community, but it is the knowledge, humor, and wit that Marcie Sillman and Vivian Phillips bring to each episode, that will have you coming back for more.
Enjoy!

As a free, community-supported, non-profit publication, we depend on the kindness of friends and strangers to underwrite publishing & distributing PublicDisplay.ART.
Our gratitude extends to the businesses and organizations who have chosen to advertise with us. Not only do they provide us with vital funding to keep going, but their show of support is an endorsement, of sorts, that demonstrates they like what we are doing — and want us to keep it up!
When SAM stepped up with a full page ad for the back page of the current issue, we were blown away to think that A) they'd noticed what we doing and B) they choose to support us.
Thanks, SAM! We are grateful for the support AND for the amazing work you do!

If you are still looking for a copy of the new issue of PublicDisplay.ART(with cover by Mary Traverse), please remain vigilant! While we are a tad behind with our distribution efforts, we hope to finish distribution by tomorrow. So by then they will be available everywhere. If not, chances are the publications have already been snatched up in your neighborhood, despite our 25% increase in circulation!
While that's a good sign for us, it can be frustrating to our readers.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience!
One place we guarantee you'll find it is at Wa Na Nari's WALK THE BLOCK event tomorrow.
And we will post the flipbook of the issue on Sunday and send out a post.
Thank you for your support and interest in PublicDisplay.ART. We do it all for you!

If you have been picking up PublicDisplay.ART from our humble beginnings, you'll likely recognize Tariqa Waters — who graced our very first cover! This issue Tariqa can be found among our top picks (DON'T MISS IT! page) for exploring what promises to be the highlights ahead. However, this time around we're not making an educated guess, because we've seen (and loved!) THANK YOU MS PAM!, the video short/eye-popping variety and talkshow with a slew of fabulous local guests — and is dizzy, doozy delight.
Which is why it's opening Northwest Film Forum's Local Sightings festival TOMORROW NIGHT (that's Friday, Sept 16), where is will be screened with WHEELS DE AMOR and RECKLESS SPIRITS. Together, they add up to a perfect trifecta of pop-art filmmaking that will entertain you to no end.
