The Skyway Nia Festival is returning to Skyway Park on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 1 PM – 7 PM, and we're looking for dedicated volunteers to help make this our best year yet!

The Nia Festival is a celebration of culture, community, music, art, wellness, and purpose. Every year, volunteers play a major role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for hundreds of attendees from Skyway and beyond.

Volunteer opportunities include: ✅ Event setup and breakdown
✅ Vendor and artist support
✅ Children's activities
✅ Information booth assistance
✅ Stage and entertainment support
✅ Community engagement and more

Applications for the Youth Sparks Grant Project close this Friday, November 7.

Thanks to the advocacy of our young leaders and the support of the King County Council, Skyway Coalition will help guide funds to establish the Youth Sparks Grant Project.
The Youth Sparks Grant Project is youth-centered and youth-inspired. Over 100 young people shared testimony to King County Councilmembers on the importance of youth programming in Skyway. Their equity-centered vision informed all aspects of this innovative grant opportunity.
The goal of the Youth Sparks Grant Project is to strengthen local youth programming efforts. Seven awards are available for projects that have happened, or will happen, between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2026.
