This is not a post about flowers or wellness but something even greater and that is Love! We were honored this past weekend to celebrate the wedding of some very special friends and it was perfect! Celebrations with good friends remind us how wonderful life is and how much we all need each other and also love each other!

Make your own relaxing bath soak by mixing together equal parts whole oats, baking soda, and rose petals (or your favorite floral blend) chop fine in a food processor and add a 1/2 cup to a warm bath. For easier cleanup tie up in a cotton washcloth or muslin tea bag. Enjoy - You are beautiful and now relaxed. Use your garden!

When I was at this past weekend they had a fun craft set up for the kids that I want to do! creating cards using fruits and vegetables as stamps. They look like colorful flowers which I love!

Create your own skin soothing Rose Roller Bottles. I like to fill mine with aloe vera and rosewater. You could also add some chamomile or green tea. I keep mine in the refrigerator for a cool under my eye treatment to de puff and calm the skin after a long day or night. Make your own rosewater or you can purchase commercial rose water that can be used for cosmetic or culinary purposes.

I had a wonderful time in Texas EdCon — It was wonderful to see old friends and make new ones and the spring wildflowers did not disappoint! I ran a workshop on “Natural Beauty with Texas wildflowers” and just posted all the recipes on my website. They can all be adapted to what you have growing in your garden. Enjoy!

Here is a simple DIY lip balm you can make at home with only a few ingredients. Melt together one part beeswax with 2 parts coconut oil. I infused mine with dried chamomile because it is gentle and soothing to your lips and skin. Pour into a container and let cool then enjoy.
