Whether youโre just getting started or already mid-application, youโre welcome to join and get support at whatever stage youโre in, you donโt need to come in with everything figured out.
Weโll do what we can to help during the session, but some questions or grant reviews may need more time than we have in a group setting. If you find you need more in-depth support, reach out after the meeting and we can share next-step support options.

Funded by the CDC, this program supports community coalitions working together to prevent youth substance use and strengthen protective factors across their communities.
Coalitions funded through DFC bring together partners across sectors such as law enforcement, schools, healthcare providers, faith organizations, local government, and community nonprofits to address the root causes of youth substance use.
Funded coalitions will focus on reducing substance use among individuals age 18 and younger by addressing community level risk factors and strengthening protective factors. Over time, the program also works to reduce substance use across the broader community.
This opportunity is designed for coalitions that are already working collaboratively and are ready to expand their impact through coordinated prevention strategies.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, government entities, educational institutions, and tribal organizations leading community coalitions focused on youth substance use prevention.

We pulled together some fund facts for you.
Behind every grant decision are patterns most organizations overlook. A huge share of giving happens at year-end. Thousands of funders are actively awarding grants every year. And many proposals are approved or rejected based on small details like fit, follow-up, and whether guidelines were actually followed.
Grants are not just about writing. They are about timing, relationships, alignment, and preparation.
The organizations that win consistently are usually not the biggest. They are the ones paying attention to the details others miss.
