Location: Everett Municipal Building (2930 Wetmore Ave)

Rally outside of Rep. Rick Larsen’s Everett office to demand an immediate ceasefire in Palestine! Larsen has refused calls to support a ceasefire and voted to send $14 billion in additional military aid to Israel. We won’t stand idly by while he supports genocide in our name. Grill & Chill at Wait’s Motel
Everett Mayor and Everett City Council seek to condemn motel with crime hotspot history, although with new management crime has dropped significantly.
For the City of Everett to exercise eminent domain over a property and displace inhabitants, without securing alternative housing for them, is cruel and unusual amidst a housing crisis. Housing is a human right, and the act of displacement without recourse is inhumane.
To ignore current data that suggests a sharp decrease in criminal activity, in favor of historical evidence, is fundamentally flawed. A property's history need not dictate its future, when someone who loves it has demonstrated they are willing to put in the work to turn it around.
So please, be our guest at a Community Grill and Chill event where we will be hanging out with the management and residents of The Waits Motel. They reached out to Punks in the Park for support, so we're going to take the opportunity to share some love with our neighbors, listen to their stories, and connect with a community that is currently fighting condemnation.
