Have you ever met a person you would say is attractive but not beautiful? Or on the flip side, have you ever met someone who is beautiful but not attractive?
We are taught that beauty and s*x appeal are the same thing - but the reality is that they are distinctly different. True beauty is the embodiment of full femininity - and can be reclaimed by everyone regardless of your ge****ls. This month at The Nile Project we are exploring how cultivating beauty is a way to enhance our access to creative life force.
Femininity is an archetypal way of being that every person has access to. We each have birth right to feminine and masculine ways of being because we each have access to the right and left hemispheres of our brain. The right brain is associated with the feminine - image, feeling, sensation, and empathy. The left brain is connected to the masculine - rationality, logic, structure, and scientific inquiry.
Because we exist within a patriarchal system that idealizes what is masculine and shames what is feminine, many of us feel separated from our true beauty.
My beauty is my softness. My ability to express with my voice and my body. My ability to infuse feeling and tonality into each word I use. My beauty is the folds of my belly, the solidity of my embrace, and the quickness of my tears.
When we are in the presence of beauty it feels like sunset orange. Like honey colored light. Like roundness. Fullness. Pressing into edges and expanding into vastness. It’s the feeling of being held. Of circling. Looking courageously into the depths of someone else’s eyes. It’s not understanding and asking more questions. It is noticing and saying. It is deep breaths in, and out. It is tangled hair, and dirty feet. Bodies exposed to open air. Rooting into earth. Bound up in roots and branches and moss and air and light. Remembering how we are a part of it all.
It’s oranges in a blue bowl. Rays of sun streaming through the window pane. It’s the vivaciousness of woman, full in her power.

In order to find creative flow, we need to locate stillness at our center. Join Jenny in this quick ten minute meditation to learn how to connect deeply to inner vibrancy and somatic resource.
What are other meditations you’d like Jenny to offer? Leave your requests in the comments!
Connect to the power of earth energy just by standing in integrity! When we learn how to plug our body into the earth, we can begin to draw life force up into our whole being. The reciprocity between our body and the earth is so beautiful when we can start tuning into the subtleties of sensation.
Did you know that by changing something as subtle as turning the corners of your mouth upwards, you can cultivate a sense of softening and inner compassion? In this 5 minute meditation, Jenny shows you how this tiny shift in your physiology can create big shifts in your ability to be kind to yourself.
Stacie’s blessing at The Power of Boundary this evening was so powerful, I had full body chills! The iPhone video of the Zoom call doesn’t really do it justice, but whatever, I couldn’t keep it to myself. Thank you and and for an evening of returning to our center, mourning our wounding, and learning to reach towards the third way.
This is why we focus so deeply on embodiment in our teaching. When we clear energetic blockages from the physical body, there is a corresponding opening in the flow of our creative source. Our goal is to teach you practices to create physical and energetic openness as efficiently as possible - so that we can remove the stickiness of resistance that gets in the way of living a life we don’t want to escape.
We are a nation confronting the reality of white supremacy and police violence against black bodies. This week more than ever it is vital that we tune into how we are inspired to speak and act. Our personal relationship with resilience will inform how we are able to be advocates for black people in America. Our ability to speak up on behalf of others starts with our own personal narrative, which is exactly what we will begin exploring in Act 2, starting on Friday.
If you are enrolled in the course, don’t forget our Q+A Zoom call scheduled for this Friday at 5:00PST.
