scam alert. we recently had a client ask about a floating home on zillow they saw for rent. it was a fake and the scammer was asking $5k per month. pro tip - ask a realtor in the community if something you see is for real first. it's a small community and the likelihood of more insight is a sure bet.

🛟No short term rentals are allowed, per the City of Seattle. Short term means less than 30 days.

🛟Floating home rental rates are typically $4,000 per month (2 bed/1 bath) up to $10,000 a month.

🛟Houseboats are in that $2,000 to $3,000 per month range.

🛟Because of the limited number of houseboats and floating homes, give yourself enough time to start your search ~ especially during the summer months as this is the time sellers sell and owners enjoy their lake abode.

We just secured a six month rental on an Eastlake floating home for under $4,000. This renter emailed us directly and after an initial tour, we realized we had some friends in common.
