From General Ed to Special Ed—a journey defined by growth, trust, and showing up.

For Paterson’s K–8 Special Education teacher, Jaime Tobin, stepping into Special Education meant starting over, asking hard questions, and staying committed to her students.

“Intelligence comes in all forms,” she shares. She reminds us that inclusion is about finding ways to make every child feel capable, seen, and valued.

By 2030, TMC aims to reach:
1,500 educators
10,000 students

As TMC works to meet statewide demand, we’re scaling our Virtual Community of Practice to connect more rural and geographically isolated educators with the coaching, collaboration, and peer learning they need.

Next year, this network will grow to over 50 special education teachers, expanding role-alike coaching and structured peer support. With your support, we’ll build a statewide network where no educator works alone, and no student is left out.
