Happy Movemeber Redhawks! Are you throwing away that razor this month in support? Here’s a little history on how november became no shave november! 💙

Did you know… Veteran’s Day falls on November 11th because although World War 1 ended officially in June of 1919 with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, fighting continued for several months. It came to end on November 11th, 1919, when an armistice took place between forces at the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month.
President Wilson then proclaimed November 11th as ‘Armistice Day’. The day is meant to be thankful and filled with prayer for the perpetual peace between nations.
The day was renamed “Veterans day” in 1954 to include and honor all American veterans of all wars.

Today the SU hubdesk wants to thank veterans for their service! Be well:)
