The new Midnight Special is here! This is the first time Surly has paired a carbon fork to one of their bikes. Carbon fiber helps make Midnight Special what it was always meant to be: part hustle and part muscle, a road bike that feels spirited on fresh pavement yet transitions smoothly into the seedy underbelly of road riding, where the asphalt crumbles away and potholes threaten to throw you off-balance.

We think this is the best version of the midnight special yet! As always from Surly, the bike is jam packed with versatility and utility.

Our buddy Kendall came to us needing his new daily rig dialed and ready to tackle our local trails and coffee shops. A new dynamo setup and .bike belt drive system on the Juice we felt was a great choice for his needs. Hope you dig the new setup Kendall!

Calling all Riv riders! AMG Cyclery is hosting our first riv meet up Sunday 10am February 22nd. Join us for a spirited 20 mile round trip ride on our beautiful coastal bike path and a lunch afterwards with our neighbors . We’ll gather at the shop with doors opening at 9:00am and promptly rolling out at 10am. Bring snacks, water and anything you’ll need to keep your bike rolling throughout the ride. Hope to see you there!

Our buddy Andrew came in with his Smoothie wanting a premium refresh. We got him hooked up with the treatment. This bike is ready to tackle all roads for years to come. Thanks for letting us know out this project Andrew!

We’re back folks! Here is our January group ride schedule.

SOCIAL RIDE - Saturday 1/10
📍 Start Location: AMG Cyclery
⏰ Time: 4pm roll-out
Participants will gather at the shop for an evening meet-up, where they’ll have a chance to connect with fellow riders. The group will roll out from the shop, take the bike path and head to Lovers Point, with a planned stop for rest, and photos. It will be a relaxed, no-drop ride, ensuring everyone has a great time, regardless of pace. After our neighbors  will be providing $1 off draft for all participating riders!

ROAD RIDE - Saturday 1/17
📍 Start Location: AMG Cyclery
⏰ Time: 8am roll-out

Join us for a loop through the peninsula doing about 30 miles and 1.1K of climbing at a moderate pace. Links to the route are on our website! When we roll back to the shop join us for breakfast at  ! They’ll be serving coffee, mimosas and their typical selection.

OFF ROAD RIDE - Saturday 1/24
📍 Start Location: 8th & Gigling St lot
⏰ Time: 9am roll-out

Join us for a loop through Ft Ord on either a mountain or gravel bike at a moderate pace! Our route is about 18 miles with 1.1K of climbing. Links to the route are on our website! When we roll back to the shop  will be serving coffee, mimosas and their typical breakfast selection.

Our friend has been collecting parts for this build for over a year and today was the day for it all to finally come together. When every component and every piece of a build is hand picked it really shows in the final product. If you know Xavier you know every bike and every project he brings through the door is wild. This particular project is no different with the addition of being an insane commuter. Thank you for trusting us with your forever bike project Xavier!

Our buddy Steve came in with this incredible 1811 frame and an insane parts box for us to throw together. Our very own put in a days work to get this beauty ready to ride and wow what a bike. you’ve got a fan for life over here. This new color really pops!

Our friend recently had us help finish the build on his new Moonshiner and we’re just now getting some photos! Name a more stable bike than this, please. You just can’t! Tackling our local trails in Ft Ord, going on weekend trips and look cool as hell is what this thing is all about. To quote Tanglefoot “To “Tanglefoot” is to release preconceptions and let your spirit merge with the universe’s vibrations.” How right they are. Enjoy!

Another BC40 going out the door today! Our buddy Jeff came in wanting an XC bike to tackle it all out here in Monterey County and we got him on quite the bike. Since he had a whole build kit ready to go he decided on a frame up build and everything went together great for an XC machine. We added the new Crisper clear housing to match the Allied decals and wow it was spot on. Hope you enjoy the bike Jeff!
