CSUMB #1 in the entire CSU system in meeting or exceeding Graduation Initiative 2025 goals....we're also the only campus to eliminate or invert all equity gaps for pell grant recipients and first generation students. CSUMB Faculty and staff working with our amazingly dedicated and passionate students make this happen. And we do it making some of the lowest salaries in the entire CSU system, while living in one of the most expensive counties in the country, while the CSU threatens to cut our budget by millions of dollars because there is apparently no money for anyone except administrators. This is yet one more example of why faculty and staff are ready to STRIKE on all 23 CSU campuses starting Jan. 22. We do all the work and get none of the rewards. Enough is enough. Cal State Monterey Bay leads all CSUs in Graduation Initiative 2025 goals CSUMB is meeting or exceeding all six goals, including increasing graduation rates, decreasing time to graduation, and closing equity gaps.

Last night the company let the Union Shop Steward go in the process of helping a co-worker facing discipline. The workers walked off the job to show the boss that you can’t push the union out.

Earlier this month the 110 WestRock workers in Salinas voted overwhelmingly, 88-3, for representation with Teamsters Local 856 and now the boss is pushing back.
