That's a wrap on the first week of Summer at Chartwell!

We closed out the week with three sessions of rocket launches, where the joy of learning and discovery was on full display. This week was all about hands-on exploration, building confidence, and proving that when curiosity is given room to grow, the sky is truly the limit. 🌟

This year marked the special return of the Courageous Spirit Award after a long absence, brought back specifically to honor two incredible students from our Lower and Middle Schools. Presented by longtime friend of Chartwell, Shary Farr, in honor of our co-founder, Nicki McMahan, this award celebrates a student’s unwavering positive attitude, resilience, and everyday kindness. We are so proud to revive this meaningful tradition!

We are thrilled to announce a new award established this year to honor the lasting legacy of Chartwell's co-founder, Nicki McMahan.

The Nicki McMahan Founder's Award honors a student whose journey reflects extraordinary growth. Through perseverance, self-advocacy, and steady determination, this student has turned challenge into progress and progress into confidence. It recognizes meaningful development over time and the sustained effort required to build independence and resilience.

Today’s High School staff vs. students flag football game was the perfect way to end conference week. Our students challenged the staff to some friendly competition, and both teams left it all out on the field!
