Here is what Sunday was like for us.

Our Family in Christ Has Grown Today! Focus was baptized!Please pray for her in her new walk with God.

Last night it was a wonderful night of service. We have been studying the gospel of Matthew and last night we finished chapter 9 encouraging people to be workers in the harvest like Jesus said. I am very proud of this group because they always bring someone they know. There is not a regular "church" meeting here as we usually think of it, but starting this Sunday night, we will start regular services here for people that live in the city and live near or on the university. Please pray that becomes a fruitful endeavor.

Yesterday was a bit of a first for me. I was asked to share a thought from the Bible and I was excited to. I never expected it to be in the middle of the street though. It was funny having to pause and reposition so farmers can drive through the church. It was such a wonderful time, with new member we had never met before. All was a blessing and we left with full hearts.

We had a wonderful Sunday yesterday at the Nong Bua Tong church near the border of Laos. They established their first elders ever which has been the aim these last two years of many of the churches here in Thailand. They have spent a significant amount of time working toward learning what those roles mean through deep study and prayer. The men they have chosen are amazing examples of faithfulness, love, kindness and humility. I pray many more churches follow this example.

Spent part of the day yesterday by a quiet river listening to maybe the most gentle souls and best of friends talking to each other about their love for God, fishing and farming. I learned about gathering rubber from the sap of rubber trees and harvesting bamboo. It was totally unplanned but it made me thing that that is what being in the family of Christ is like. I was very humbled at the kindness of two friends I feel I could never reach but I still strive too. I hope everyone gets to experience that at least once in their life. It was all about Jesus and coffee by a little river at the edge of a jungle.

Today after finishing making my kitchen counter, we went to UDCC to make some food for our students and then had a devo on Matthew 9:14-17. It was wonderful to see many of our students getting more and more interested in the Bible.
