2026 PARADE DEDICATION: Gerard 'Jerry' Gaughan

Gerard 'Jerry' Gaughan served in the US Army Reserves and subsequently held the position of Director of the Lackawanna County 911 Communications Center for over two decades. A long-standing member of the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee, Jerry also held the role of 2001 St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee President and was an active member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. Despite his ardent support for Penn State, frequently traveling to away venues throughout the Big Ten, Jerry cherished his Irish heritage. He devoted considerable time to genealogical research, tracing his roots extensively throughout Ireland.
