Engineered and built in NEPA, shipped to and constructed in the Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York.

This project is a great example of how versatile modular design and manufacturing has become. A high-performance spiritual center and residence hall designed around strict Maharishi Vastu architectural principles, all manufactured off-site and assembled in Livingston Manor, NY.

Beyond the architecture itself, projects like this also highlight the level of quality control and building performance achievable through modular construction, including air tightness, coordination, and precision during manufacturing.

Modular construction is no longer limited to simple residential homes. Complex architecture, specialized design requirements, and large-scale projects can all be successfully coordinated, manufactured, transported, and assembled with the right team and planning.

Our structural team continues to grow and expand our modular portfolio. This was an impressive build once again by Signature Building Systems.

Today is 570 Day!

From the mountains, rivers, lakes, trails, and scenic views to the historic downtowns, architecture, food scene, and local culture, Northeastern Pennsylvania has a character that’s hard to replicate. There’s an authenticity to this area and pride in the communities that make up the 570.

Over the last several years, it’s been exciting to watch the continued push to revitalize and reinvest in our cities and towns. Historic buildings being brought back to life. New restaurants and businesses opening. Downtowns evolving. Communities taking pride in where they live and continuing to move the region forward.

As engineers, we appreciate the landscape and scenery, but we also appreciate the built environment around us. The architecture, redevelopment projects, infrastructure improvements, and the effort happening across NEPA to preserve history while repurposing it for the future.

One of the best parts of the 570 is that you can have all of this while still being within driving distance of major cities like New York City and Philadelphia.

We're proud to call the 570 home and excited for what’s ahead as we prepare to move our firm headquarters to downtown Scranton very soon, right in the heart of the 570!

Everyone sees the finished building, but not everybody sees what it took to get there.

The Torah Academy of Bergen County is now up and running with a full vertical addition that doubled their classroom and lecture space. What you don’t see in a finished building is the engineering and construction work it took to get there.

We added a full second level at the Torah Academy of Bergen County while the school was still operating below with classrooms full, academic operations as usual, and no margin for disruption. It took meticulous planning, code review, engineering design, and constant coordination with the design and construction teams.

This project had it all..... deep pile foundation systems, existing structure retrofits, concrete system design, masonry, steel framing, façade engineering, and steel connection design. A lot of real-time problem solving in the field, working through existing conditions and sequencing to keep everything moving.

Proud to have been part of the design team and help reinforce the client’s vision.

This week we attended the Central Penn Business Journal Top Projects Awards banquet as part of the Real Estate & Development Summit.

We were honored that two of our engineering projects were recognized:
• Children’s Aid Society – Werner Early Learning Childcare Center (York, PA)
• Upper Allen Genius Kids Child Development Center (Mechanicsburg, PA)

Great to see projects that directly support their communities, and especially children, acknowledged at this level.

Proud to be part of the teams that helped bring these to life.
