🦕 The Lackawanna County Library System is hosting its annual all-ages SummerQuest summer reading challenge starting today, June 22 and running through August 7.
This year’s challenge theme, “Unearth a Story,” encourages patrons to dig into a good book, uncover hidden histories, and celebrate stories waiting to be found in their communities. Lackawanna County residents of all ages can explore the joy of discovery through the materials, resources, and programs available at all Lackawanna County Library System locations.
SummerQuest participants can enjoy our collection of books, movies, and games plus a variety of interactive events and exciting activities that can help them unearth something great this summer. During the challenge, patrons can stop by their local library to pick up a log sheet that will help them track their reading progress and offer suggestions for enriching activities themed around exploration, excavation, fossils, and dinosaurs. Children, teens, and adults will have the opportunity to complete an activity log and return it to their library for the chance to win a prize at the conclusion of SummerQuest.
More information about these programs and all SummerQuest events can be found by visiting the Library System’s events directory at https://lclshome.org/events/.
