The Scranton StorySlam (www.scrantonstoryslam.com) features some of the Electric City’s most colorful characters in a head to head storytelling competition. The next slam is planned for February 21, 2015, at Ale Mary's, 126 Franklin Avenue, Scranton, PA. Happy 8th Anniversary of Scranton Fringe Festival taking over the operation of 🎤 Scranton StorySlam and, later that year, 🏳️🌈 Big Gay StorySlam!
We have had so much fun coming together to hear the stories of our community over the years. 🎭 It's hard to believe that these programs are still going strong after being started way back when by our wonderful friend Pam McNichols and her daughter Zoe! Come and dance the night away at Scranton Fringe’s Silent Disco Saturday, August 10th at 6pm at the Susquehanna Brewing Company! If you've never been to a silent disco before, our headsets provide three different soundscapes to switch up your music whenever you need a change of pace. New this year - Scranton Fringe Festival & Scranton StorySlam are teaching pop-in Teen StorySlam Workshops! Teens of all ages can join us at 3pm on June 3rd, 17th & 24th in the Technology Lab in the basement of the Lackawanna County Children's Library. Learn about the art of telling a true short story with no notes from beginning to end and join the StorySlam community!
