It has been an incredible honor to serve the people of the 22nd Senatorial District for the past ten years and I sincerely appreciate the trust and respect placed in my abilities by our voters. I am very thankful for this opportunity to work alongside Congressman Cartwright as his increasing influence in Washington can translate to more opportunities, more jobs and more federal investment here in Northeastern Pennsylvania to ensure action on the issues that matter most to the families of his 8th Congressional District. I am excited to partner with the Congressman and to move into the next chapter of my professional career. https://www.senatorblake.com/sen-blake-to-resign-senate-seat-join-congressman-cartwrights-office-to-lead-district-wide-economic-development-efforts/

Today is an exciting and momentous day for our country and especially for our community as Scranton-native Joe Biden becomes our 46th President of the United States. I am certain that President Biden and Vice President Harris will be a successful administration that will restore respect, dignity, competence and effectiveness to the White House. I am hopeful that our country can begin to heal and come together under the Biden/Harris Administration.

As we remember the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., it should serve as a call to action for all Americans to work together toward positive change in our communities and unity in our Capitol buildings.

To the people I represent in the 22nd Senatorial District and throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania: Keep the Faith. This is the United States of America.

Our Constitution, our federal institutions and the rule of law will prevail over the mob.

It is shameful and disgraceful that a sitting president has incited this violence and sedition. It only further evidences that he is completely unfit for the office. His conduct is in direct violation of the oath he took to enter upon the office.

The citizens of the United States have rendered their verdict on Donald Trump – as has the United States Judiciary with respect to his unfounded and dangerous conspiracy theories regarding the presidential election of 2020.

President-elect Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States on January 20th.

The healing and the correction of all that's been wrong over the past four years and, particularly the tragedy and the disaster that was 2020, will begin then.
