Today's primary will help shape the future of our community. I'm focused on moving forward and engaging members of the community who are interested in progress and keeping our local voices involved in decisions that will affect us for decades to come. We've seen the results of poor decision making, and are now facing the challenge of proving that we can do better or face dire consequences. If you haven't already voted early, please take the time to cast votes for this primary election. Democracy depends on all of our voices, and I hope everyone has the chance to be a part of this incredibly important process. Thank you for your support, and for being part of the foundation of our society.

Last weekend, I had the honor to participate in the LWV of Lackawanna County candidate forum. It was a great way to hear from other candidates and express my own positions. Thank you to the LWV for hosting this important event for candidates and voters in a safe manner. Please take some time to listen to this five-question forum and learn more about the candidates.

Thank you to the The Scranton Times-Tribune for including me in today's candidate profile. I encourage everyone to take a moment to learn a bit about my views, the issues facing our district, and discover more about the field of candidates. We have a lot of work to do, and need to work together to move our district and community forward.

Eight vie for five seats on Scranton School Board As the Scranton School District follows its recovery plan, some candidates for school board question the process and progress.

I am humbled by the level of support and number of inquiries I’ve received since starting this campaign. Our district is facing many challenges. I’ve watched the public meetings, listened to members of the community, and reviewed public documents. This weekend, I look forward to participating in the League of Women Voters Candidate Forum.

But I also want to hear more from you. Parents, faculty, staff, taxpayers: send a Facebook message or an email to [email protected]. Decisions made by the board have a serious impact on us all.

The concerns facing our district and underlying issues are important to understand, and I’m committed to learning even more - but I can’t do that without your feedback.

Let’s keep this conversation going and do everything we can to provide our students with the highest quality education. We want to provide our faculty and staff the facilities and tools they need to show that the SSD is an exemplary institution for all ages and every corner of our city.
